Vocational Services
Our ability to work and participate in the work force of our society is the greatest measurement of our self-worth and self-esteem. Shares, Inc. vocational services strive to prepare individuals with disabilities to achieve independence by attaining gainful employment.
Community Employment
Employment Specialists and trained job coaches assist individuals in locating compatible employment in the community and meet employment needs of the businesses. The program includes training in job seeking skills, career exploration, job placement, job coaching and follow-up after employment begins. It also provides information and assistance to the business community on employing people with disabilities and addressing barriers to employment for people with disabilities.
Participation in the Community Employment Services program requires an individual to apply to their state office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services. All referrals received are funded through this state agency and are no cost to individuals or employers that participate in our program.
